Fertility treatments
IVF and ICSI - In vitro fertilisation was originally developed to assist conception in women who have blocked or damaged fallopian tubes but, because of its success is now being used to treat other causes of infertility, such as sperm disorders, unexplained infertility and endometriosis.
IUI - Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) involves a laboratory procedure to separate fast-moving sperm from more sluggish or non-moving sperm. Sperm are separated in the laboratory and are then placed into the woman’s uterus close to the time of ovulation when the egg is released from the ovary.
Ovulation induction and monitoring - Egg growth and ovulation can be improved by giving tablets and monitoring the changes by ultrasound scan. This is usually used in women who do not ovulate regularly and also in women with PCO-polycystic ovaries.

Donor treatments
Egg donation - Donor egg treatment may be needed for women who produce too few eggs, very poor quality eggs, no eggs or eggs that are genetically abnormal. Recent changes in UK Law governing donor anonymity has caused a huge shortage of donor eggs. Fertility Plus works with overseas clinics to help their patients.
Donor sperm treatments - Donor sperm may be used for insemination or IVF/ICSI treatments for various indications. Men who cannot produce sperm (azoospermia), single women and same sex lesbian couples are some of the main patients needing donor sperm. Men who may have serious genetic conditions that may be passed on to their offspring may also choose to go down the path of donor sperm usage.
Surrogacy - Surrogacy is when one woman (the surrogate host) is to bear a child for another woman or a couple (the commissioning couple).
