Kyiv City Heart Center: Heart surgery and cardiology in Ukraine

The Kyiv City Heart Center was opened in 2007, and is one of  Europe’s leading cardiovascular surgery clinics, constructed and equipped to the highest standard. It boasts 5 operating theatres, pediatric and adult department, functional diagnostics, and also branch of a computer tomography, radionuclide diagnostics, perfusiology, transfusiology and clinico-diagnostic laboratory.

The centre brings together cardiologists and cardiac surgeon within the Ukraine, allowing the centre to specialise in the prevention of diseases, diagnostics and treatment, surgery, anesthesiology and rehabilitation. This concentration of knowledge in cardiology and cardiac surgery has made cardiac surgery on newborns, minimally invasive cardiac surgery and cardiac transplantation to become possible in Ukraine.
