Psychologists are experts in psychology and usually work within areas of mental health as clinical psychologists and counselling psychologists. Psychologists cannot use drug therapy as treatment; you must see a psychiatrist or other medical doctor to be treated with medication.
A neuropsychologist is a psychologist who has completed special training in the neurobiological causes of brain disorders, and who specialises in diagnosing and treating these illnesses using a predominantly medical (as opposed to psychoanalytical) approach.
